🏃
Sprint

The most fundamental form of movement. Sprinting increases your speed and enables most parkour actions. Consumes stamina over time.

1 Hold Shift to activate sprint
2 Watch your stamina bar — don't let it empty
🦘
Vault

Automatically triggered when you approach a low obstacle while sprinting. Allows seamless passage over rails, walls, and ledges without losing speed.

1 Sprint toward any low obstacle
2 Press F or let the auto-vault trigger
📐
Wall Run

Run horizontally along a vertical surface. Essential for crossing gaps between buildings and reaching elevated platforms.

1 Sprint toward a wall at an angle
2 Jump just before making contact
3 Hold W to keep running along the wall
🌀
Slide

Instantly drop into a slide while sprinting. Great for passing under obstacles, reducing fall impact, and maintaining momentum on downhill terrain.

1 While sprinting, press C
2 Release to stand back up
Warning: These moves require precise timing. Mistimed inputs can result in falls. Practice on safe surfaces first.
🔁
Wall Kick

Push off a wall mid-air to redirect momentum or reach greater heights. Can be chained between two walls to scale vertical surfaces.

1 Jump toward a wall
2 Press Space just as you touch it
3 Steer away to redirect your jump
💨
Slide Jump

Cancel a slide into a jump at the perfect moment. This preserves and amplifies your momentum, launching you farther than a standard jump from sprint.

1 Begin a slide with C while sprinting
2 Press Space at the end of the slide animation
3 The earlier the jump input, the more speed you carry
🎯
Precision Jump

A controlled, deliberate jump aimed at landing on a narrow surface. Accuracy over speed. Used for crossing narrow beams and railings.

1 Slow down before the jump (don't sprint)
2 Jump and aim your camera at the target
3 Land crouched to stabilize
Momentum Chain

Chain vault → slide jump → wall run in quick succession without stopping. When done correctly, speed builds with each transition rather than resetting.

1 Vault over an obstacle
2 Immediately slide on landing
3 Slide jump into a wall run
4 Jump off the wall at peak height
🏁
Downhill Boost

Sliding down an incline builds speed passively. Jump at the bottom to convert that accumulated speed into distance. Essential for making big horizontal gaps.

1 Find a sloped surface
2 Slide down with C held
3 Jump at the base of the slope
The City of Ascent — Year 3025

Ascent is a sprawling cyberpunk megacity that grew from the ruins of dozens of collapsed nations. Soaring skyscrapers pierce a perpetually smoggy sky, connected by transit lines, bridges, and the invisible threads of a surveillance network. Power is concentrated among a handful of megacorporations, while the lower districts survive on scraps and secrets.

The Runners

In a city locked down by surveillance and corporate enforcers, the Runners are the only ones who move freely. They carry messages, extract data, and navigate the city through routes no drone can follow — over rooftops, through ventilation shafts, across the skeletal frames of unfinished towers. You are one of them.

More lore coming: This section will expand as the game's story unfolds in future updates.
🏙️
The Spire District

The gleaming corporate heart of Ascent. Towering megastructures house the headquarters of the city's most powerful organizations. Access is restricted — or was.

🌆
The Underbelly

The dense, chaotic lower districts beneath the elevated highways. Tight alleys, market stalls, and the constant hum of black-market tech. Runner territory.

Overview

Stamina is the resource that powers your movement. Sprinting, wall running, climbing, and certain special moves consume stamina. When it runs out, you slow to a walk until it regenerates. Managing stamina is the difference between a smooth run and getting caught on a rooftop with nowhere to go.

ActionStamina CostNotes
SprintingLow / secConstant drain while held
Wall RunMedium / secHigher drain than flat sprint
Climb / Ledge HangHigh / secDrain while hanging
JumpVery LowSingle flat cost
SlideNoneFree action
Tip: Slides cost zero stamina. Incorporate slides into your routes to give your stamina bar brief moments to recover without stopping.
Coming Soon: Faction mechanics are still in development and will be detailed as the game expands.
